When first reading this plays Program, I was not sure what to expect from this play. Thinking things were going to be dull and boring i sat in the theater of Backdoor Playhouse, slouching as i dropped my backpack on the floor below me.
The play actually came out to be very entertaining and actually made me laugh a few times. the characters were on point with their lines. I hadn't really noticed any mess ups or missed lines; maybe once or so.
The play was about Aina and her husband, Otunla, who are engaged to be married. Only problem is, Ainas' parents aren't supportive of the new ways of marriage. Her parents still want the traditional, expensive and extravagant weddings. But Aina would rather have a small marriage due to their financial situations. Her friends Dokune and Debbie attempt to figure out a way for them to get money for the wedding but they really didn't come up with anything.
Most of the play dealt with Ania and her parents arguing and bickering over the wedding and the lack of money. fast forward to the end of things they DO end up getting married regardless of the parents disappointment of not having a big expensive wedding and they live happily ever after, or close to it.

Probate Season now at an end
This year, of course, has been my first year in college. I was able to attend three Probates this year. Probates are something NPHC fraternities and sororities do. It is the coming out of the new members. This past month, i have been able to witness the Ques, Alphas, and Zetas come out. They have all been pretty interesting with parties following soon after for the Ques and the Alphas. I have to say that the Alphas had the best probate this year. They weren't as late as the other frats and sors. and had a lot of stepping and interesting things. Their party was also quite interesting with quite a few fights, ha. The first Caucasian ever to join a NPHC frat here at tech also came out this Thursday. Everyone was pretty excited about that, and he seemed very happy. I thought it qwas pretty cool besides the cold and the long waits.

December is here and that means Christmas!
Hmm, so now Christmas time has come from around the corner. The month of December has finally landed and everything becomes all Jolly and Merry... except many people now a days are trying to remove the whole "Christmas" thing and replace it with... "Holiday". Why? I feel as if its because society and government is trying to remove "Christ" from our country - slowly but surely. I understand other country's or "religions" celebrate Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, but really there is no need to remove the term "Christmas" just so we wont "offend" anyone. If you're out shopping in the month of December, then there is a 9 out of 10 chance that you're going to be CHRISTMAS shopping, not "Holiday" shopping. You buy a CHRISTMAS tree -not a Holiday tree. People sing CHRISTMAS carols - not Holiday carols.
I could only imagine if society really does manage to totally remove Christ from Christmas or even America, how things would change and are changing. When they removed Christ from our schools kids began shooting each other ha. Anyways the thought of replacing Christmas with Holiday is just dumb sounding.
All i have to say is Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Review on Evaluation readings
After reading the three review articles I feel pretty prepared to begin writing my review paper. As to what exactly I will review on, I'm not quite sure. Going back to the reviews, I saw that they used great vivid details and described their products/experience very well. The Dawson's Creek review spoke about the T.V show which was said to have been different from the traditional themes of most of the shows out during its air date. It described the shows plat, its characters, and many issues that occurred throughout the show.
With the second reading, covering the Pizza Joint it was very informative and really explained a lot regarding the restaurant and how they prepared their food.
The Harry Potter review really told a lot about the movie and what and why things happened. They went in depth on the producer of the movie also.

2009 4th Annual Stepshow
Alex and I attented the Step Show this year together. TTU NPHC and Minority Affairs presented the Step show in the DerryBerry Auditorium October 20, 2009. The step show was pretty interesting. Some of the performances were really cool and entertaining while others were pretty boring and seemed to have no plot behind them what so ever. There were many Black Fraternities and Sororities from TTU as well as other schools performing. The show was quite lengthy going from 8:30-11:00 something. There were a few "technical" Difficulties and such and a lot of intermissions between each acts. As far as performances, I feel as if the Kappas from MTSU did the best. They had a Steve Urkle themed skit with good stage props and a very entertaining performance. I didn't stay until the very end to see who won, but I'm pretty sure the Kappas won. I'm looking forward to checking out other step shows this year and other years. It was all pretty entertaining and fun, seeing how and what a lot of the Greek Organizations do during their time together.

Page 555 Reading...
I never really took the time to consider how important blogs could be or how important they are in todays society. Many People think blogging is pointless or something bored people does. but it seems as though blogging is a way for people to really give it to the "man". People can blog and put out the information that the news are to afraid to put out. Blogs are like the small things in life that create the "big picture" of things. When CNN is afraid to discuss on certain topics you can bet a blogger somewhere has put out the information National news centers aren't releasing.

Client Intake Form: Church vs No Church
So the Client Intake Forms Professor Andy handed our English 1010 class today contained two sides, One from a church organization and one from Helping Hands. The Helping Hand form seems like the best and most "appropriate". IT asked good questions regarding their financial history and previous visits meanwhile the Church intake form was just interested in their church attendance and religious view primarily. I think as if that's stupid, to some point. I could see why some of the questions are exceptional; seeing if they have any issues or something. But when they asked about whether they went to church or not and where they think they will spend eternity is pointless and dumb.
Many "Christians" tend to push non believers away with similar methods that this church organization used for their Intake Form. Rather then asking financial information, maybe some questions asking on how they're doing or what their view on Christ is... but not all of their questions. Being so loud about it and unapproachable in some form. Many people probably feel convicted or bad when having the "bible" or the word pushed on them.
