I'm sure everyone feels like they're both part of the "us" and "them" group in life. The "us" would be the people that we're use to or that we find normal, while the "them" would be anything BUT normal, those people who are different or not like "you".
In the memoir "Us and Them" , David feels as if the Tomkeys are the "them". He felt as though they were weird and different because of their beliefs and customs. He was some what prejudice towards them... but in the end he learned and figured out his true ways.
In many ways everyone is and could be considered a "them" when it comes to todays society. If you dont dress this way you could be a "them", if you dont talk this way, you could be a "them", If you have done this or that... you're probably a "them". For me, Being a "them" is good. Id rather be a "them", Id rather be different when it comes to some things... actually a lot of things.
Us and Them was a good Memoir also. pretty intriguing... good stuff.
